A place for Island Artists….

No matter where you are at in your artistic journey, we welcome you and encourage you to grow. If you feel you are ready to put your work out in the world for sale, Woods Hall Gallery is a great place for artists both experienced and novice alike. Our prerequisites are only that you love what you make & that you have a strong affiliation with Madeline Island, either by living here full or part time, family lineage, historically, etc. As long as Madeline Island is a part of your heart and a place you call home, you can submit your work to be approved for sale in the gallery.

Artisan Review Committee

To ensure that our gallery has an interesting and ever changing assortment of quality crafted work, we ask all of our artists to submit photos of their work, or physical examples of their work, to our Artisan Review Committee. Once approved by the ARC, you can work with our Retail Manager to fill out the Seller’s Covenant Agreement, price your work, and get it onto the gallery floor.

Teamwork makes the Dreamwork

As a cooperative of artists and a non-profit organization, we rely whole heartedly on the participation and dedication of our artists. The amount of commission you receive from each sale is decided in your covenant agreement by how much time you are willing to put in helping at Woods Hall. The more time you can give, the more income you will create for yourself. Running the cash register, helping studio managers with maintenance & upkeep, pulling some weeds out front, washing some windows, there are always tasks that can be tackled at Woods Hall.
