Roxane Ashcraft

I’m Roxane Ashcraft and my medium is Quilting and Fabric Art. I’ve been a quilter for over 30 years. What started as a hobby quickly became a passion. I am intrigued with designing and exploring interesting color combinations in my quilts. Quilting is both stimulating and relaxing and provides me with a deep sense of accomplishment.
As a fourth-generation landowner on Madeline Island, I am particularly fond of the quietness and beauty of this island. With many of my relatives scattered around the island, my visits to Madeline feel like a family reunion.
I serve as the Coordinator for the Milwaukee Chapter of Quilts of Honor (quilts for vets) and am involved with the Chicago area’s Quilt for Children Walking with Cancer. My work is also available at Woods Hall. I’m one of Woods Hall’s newer artists. It’s a joy to see the artistic interpretations of other artists. Their work is inspiring. For me, my quilting studio is my happy place.
